South African Police rescue abducted one-month old girl

South African police have rescued the one-month old girl, Siwaphiwe Mbambo, abducted in a car-jacking in the South African city of Durban last Friday.

According to police, the baby was found safe and well in a vehicle during their stop and search operation between Durban and Pietermaritzburg at about midnight yesterday.

The police added that three persons have been arrested which include the baby’s mother.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed this to newsmen.
