NDLEA nabs 57 year-old woman with cocaine

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a fifty-seven year-old textile merchant at Balogun market in Lagos, Mrs. Odeyemi Morayo with a substance suspected to be cocaine, which she was said to be smuggling to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The suspect, who claimed to be going on a pilgrimage to Jeddah, was arrested with one point five nine five kilogram of cocaine concealed in her luggage at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
NDLEA’s commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba, disclosed to newsmen that the two parcels of white powdery substance which tested positive for cocaine was discovered during a routine check on passengers at the departure hall.
In her statement, the suspect, who hailed from Ogun State, said her friend and customer was the one that introduced her into drug trafficking.
