Security operatives have commenced evacuation of thousands of Hausas who have been displaced following the ethnic clash which broke out in the sabo area of Ile Ife, Osun state and had left six people dead and several injured.
The communal clash that engulfed many lives and homes was said to have occurred after an argument ensued between a Yoruba woman and a Hausa man on Tuesday has called for the heavy presence of security operatives around the Sabo and Obalufon areas, which appears to still be in tension as the Hausas claim they can no longer stay there for safety of their lives.
Meanwhile, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi while reacting to the incident called for calm and investigation into the matter.
